Recipe For My Favorite Christmas Cookies Ever| Collab with Kavichick 2000

Hey lovelies!
Hope you’re all well and getting into the Christmas spirit! I sure am, which is why today’s post is another Christmas inspired one. Yay! This is not only exciting because I’m sharing the recipe of my favorite Christmas cookies ever but also because it’s my first ever collaboration post as I’m collaborating with the lovely Kavi! Kavi is not only one of my favorite bloggers ever but we’ve become pretty good blogging pals as well, so I’m really excited to be collaborating with her. We both absolutely love Christmas, so we thought it’d be a fun idea to share some of our favorite Christmas recipes! Now over here on my blog you can find the recipe for some very yummy and really pretty Christmas cookies and you can find an amazing recipe for a festive drink over on Kavi’s blog.

The cookies are really easy to make and so delicious, so let’s get started.

What you need:

300g/1cup flour
100g/0.5cups sugar
1 egg
A pinch of bourbon vanilla
200g/0.8cups butter
Finely shredded lemon peel
Your favorite flavor of jam
Confectioner’s sugar

First off preheat the oven to 180°degrees Celsius/356°Fahrenheit. To make the dough you basically just mix together flour, sugar and butter. Then add an egg, the lemon peel and a bit of bourbon vanilla. Make sure to really knead the dough thoroughly and once it’s kneaded enough put it away in the fridge for an hour.

After waiting for an hour take the dough out of the fridge, get a rolling pin and roll out the dough until it’s about an inch thick. Now take any shaped cutter you wish and cut out the cookies. I’ve used circle, heart and star shaped cutters. Make sure you have them in different sizes!

Now put the cookies in the oven for around 12 minutes.
When they’re done take them out of the oven and let them cool down a bit. Once they’ve cooled off take a spoon and some jam (I used strawberry as it is my favorite flavor) and use that to stick the different shaped cookies together. Once you’re finished with that sprinkle some confectioner’s sugar over the cookies and you’re done. They should look something like this:

We’ve been making these cookies in my family every since I can remember and they’re one of my absolute favorites! Now head on over to Kavichick 2000 for an incredibly delicious DIY Nutella Chai Latte!

I hope you’ve enjoyed this post and good luck if you decide to give this recipe a go.
