In the past few days the weather over here has been so nice. It’s still pretty cold but the sun has been out a lot more and for some reason this has totally lifted my spirits and I’ve been in such a good mood. Honestly I’m just tired of this cold rainy weather and I’m so ready for Spring and Summer. One thing that has definitely helped me to get even more into the mood for sunshine and Spring was a lovely delivery from Australia, which I received last week.
A while back I was contacted by the lovely people from Moodi if I would like to try some of their body spritzers. I love perfumes/body sprays (who doesn’t?) so of course I was really excited to test these out. Moodi is a brand created and made in Australia and I love that they don’t test on animals. However, what I think makes them quite unique is their concept. The body spritzers they offer are all inspired by moods and right now they offer four different fragrances called Dreamy, Peppy, Chill and Loco.
Like probably many girls out there I’m a total sucker for cute packaging, and I think these come in such cute and fun little bottles. I also love that they included a little bag and some fun stickers. I just think it’s little things like that, which make me like brands even more because it shows they put a lot of thought into their products
So let me talk a bit more about the different scents. Peppy and Chill are both very fresh and light scents, which is what makes them perfect for those days when you don’t feel like wearing a heavy perfume but just want something fresh. Peppy is describes as ‘fresh apples with a touch of zest’ and Chill as ‘floral fruity apple with green cucumber’.
While I do like Peppy and Chill my two favorite scents are definitely Dreamy and Loco. Okay, so Dreamy literally smells like a day by the beach and summer in a bottle. That’s the only way I could describe this scent but it smells so so nice. I feel like once Summer rolls around I’ll be using this all the time. It just makes me think of sunshine, the ocean, palm trees and pretty beaches.
So Loco smells like coconut and vanilla and I’m genuinely surprised by how much I love this scent because I usually don’t like anything coconut. I hate the taste of it and I’m not too keen on the smell either. But basically this smells like Pina Colada to me and I think it’s the vanilla in it that makes me like it so much.
I love body sprays for spring and summer because I usually don’t like to wear heavy perfume unless it’s for a special occasion. I think it’s so cool that these sprays are inspired by moods and I have a feeling I’ll be using all four a lot this summer but Dreamy and Loco are my personal favorites.
Thank you for reading!
I think I might have just found my new favorite perfume in the entire world. Ever since I received a little sample of this perfume I’ve been wanting to have it but at 60,95€ for 30ml it comes at quite a high price. Hence I put it on my birthday wish list and my generous grandparents got it for me.
The flacon is quite simple and elegant and though I do love cute flacons, like pretty much all of the Marc Jacobs perfumes, I don’t mind that it is so simple because this fragrances is amazing.
Now I’m going to try to describe the smell of it to you but I totally suck at describing perfumes, so here goes my try. The name Flowerbomb is quite fitting because the smell does hit you like a bomb. It’s like an explosion of flowery and really sweet scents. On websites is describes as a luxurious, floral perfume with Sambac Jasmine, Centifolia Rose, Cattleya Orchid, Ballerina Freesia and Patchouli notes and I totally agree with that. Apart from the flowery scent it does smell extremely sugary and sweet though. I prefer fragrances like that but I know not everyone does.
I seriously love it and I can’t stop smelling it. Even though it is very pricey it’s definitely worth the money because you don’t need to spray on much of it and it will still last almost all day as the scent is quite intense and lingers on your skin.
This is just perfect for spring and summer as it smells so sweet and flowery. I can’t get enough of it and I would recommend it to anyone who likes sugary, floral and sweet scents as it is a perfect combination of those.
It’s no secret, that people like people other people who smell really good. Nobody want to be around someone, who stinks, right? Now I love my perfumes and I do own quite the collection of multiple fragrances but for spring and summer I prefer to use a light scent for every day. I hate using up my beloved Chanel, Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors etc. fragrances because they are quite expensive, which is why I tend to use them only on special occasions or when I go out with friends or the family. On days where I do nothing but spending my time in a lecture hall, the library or with studying or grocery shopping I don’t see the point in wasting them. Yet I still want to smell good.
That’s why I totally love the Indian Night Jasmine Fragrance Mist by the Body Shop.
I know this isn’t exactly a new fragrance but it is my personal one for spring and summer. It is rather light because it’s only a body mist after all but I think it’s just enough for an ordinary day. Apart from that I prefer light scents in spring in summer anyway.
I’m not good with describing a scent but I’m just going to give it a try. It’s got a very oriental and floral type of smell and it is very feminine. You can definitely smell the Jasmines. I don’t really have a favorite flower but if I had to name one Jasmine would definitely be on my list. It’s such a pretty little flower and it smells really nice.
What’s your favorite spring/summer fragrance?
