Before I say anything else, let me just say that this is the tiniest and cutest little nude eyeshadow palette I’ve ever laid my eyes on. It’s so tiny and so adorable and I can’t get over how cute it is. Now with that being said, the Smashbox Full Exposure Mini Palette is a tiny version of the regular Full Exposure palette. It contains 8 shades consisting of 4 shimmer shades and 4 mattes.
But first let’s talk about the packaging. The eyeshadows come in a sleek little black compact packaging. I knew when I ordered it that it was going to be small because it’s a mini version but I do have to admit I didn’t expect it to be this small. However, I do love the size. It’s so small it will probably fit into your wallet! It’s size makes it absolutely perfect for traveling or when you’re on the go.
Basically this little beauty combines all the basic shades you could ever need. The 4 matte shades offer a nice brown, a pale pinkish beige, a light highlighter and a taupe shade that is perfect for the crease. I was so impressed with how creamy the matte shadows are. They feel so soft and creamy and are a dream to blend.
The shimmery shades definitely don’t disappoint either. There’s a beautiful shimmery bronzed shade, a golden beige, a shimmery champagne like shade and greyish silver. The shimmery shades aren’t as creamy and soft as the matte ones but they’re still beautifully pigmented and blend nicely. I think this is a first for me but for one I actually prefer the matte shades in a palette.
Basically the size isn’t the only thing that is amazing about this palette. I’m absolutely blown away by the matte eyeshadows. Not that the shimmery ones aren’t good, because they are, but the matte ones are just incredible. I’m in love with their texture.
I think this could be a perfect little gift for anyone that loves nude eyeshadow palettes (because you can literally take this one with you wherever you go. It fits in every purse, I’m sure). Then it could also be good for anyone who doesn’t own a lot of palettes and just wants some basic shades because this palette has all the basic shades you could possibly want. With Christmas coming up I think this would be a lovely little present and I’ll be giving one of these as part of a present to my mom for Christmas this year. I’m already so excited to see what she thinks of it and I really hope she loves it as much as I do.

When the lovely people from the Born Pretty Store contacted me on whether I wanted to review some of their products I have to admit I was quite excited. I’ve heard of the brand before as they are quite known for their nail art supplies. I totally suck when it comes to doing my nails but the Born Pretty Store also offers a wide variety of makeup, jewelry and other accessories, so there’s definitely something for everyone.
While browsing their website I came across this glittery eyeshadow trio and it immediately reminded me of Christmas and the holidays. I’m such a sucker for glittery things, so it’s only naturally I opted for this one.
This little palette contains a black shade, a beautiful shimmery bronzed shade (quite possibly my favorite) and a lovely very glittery silver shade. All of the shades contain golden shimmer particles for a sparkling effect, which I think is just perfect for the holiday season or New Year’s Eve. December is just the perfect time to go all out when it comes to glitter and sparkles, don’t you think?
Now, I really love the texture as its so soft and silky, which makes it so easy to apply! When it comes to eyeshadows my biggest pet peeve is when they are too chalky but these are quite creamy. All three shadows are quite pigmented, though the bronzed shade is definitely the most pigmented.
I think this is just the perfect little trio for everyone that loves a bit of a sparkle. The black and silver shades are perfect for creating a glittery smokey eye and the bronzed shade is so beautiful and perfect if you want more of a softer and warm approach maybe. First I was a little afraid that the glitter particles might move around, because I’ve had some bad experiences with glitter eyeshadow before but luckily these stay put and don’t move around. After all I only want my eyes to make a sparkling statement and not my entire face to look like a disco ball, right?
I can definitely see myself getting a lot of use out of these once December rolls around but then again you can never go wrong with a little bit of glitter, so basically this will always come in handy for a night out or a special occasion that could use a bit of a sparkle.
If you’d like to check out the Born Pretty Store website you can do that here. I also have a little coupon code for you if you decide to order anything. Just type in WEEG10 for 10% off your order:)
Thanks so much for reading! Hope you have great weekend:)
Another day another review. You might have seen this one one of my haul posts a while back and I think I’ve now tried it out enough to give a little review.
Basically the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil is a very creamy and pigmented eyeliner that can function as an eyeshadow as well. Now before I get any further into this review I have to say I haven’t really used these as eyeliners at all. While the color I have is quite neutral these come in a bunch of crazy colors I, personally, wouldn’t use for eyeliner. However this makes a great eyeshadow base or you can even wear it alone when you’re in a rush.
When I’m not in a rush I like to really take my time with doing my makeup as I enjoy doing it. On most week days, that isn’t really the case though as I have quite a few early morning lectures. I’m definitely not a morning person, so I’d rather get a few more minutes of sleep than doing my eye make up. I’ve really enjoyed using this eye pencil for days like these. The shade 611 Yogurt is such a neutral shade, you can’t ever really go wrong with it. All you need to do is take your pencil and apply a bit of this to give your eyes a natural shimmer and make you look more awake. It’s a very light brown, almost beige with a hint of light pink.
On days when I do have time I really like to use this as an eyeshadow base. It’s very creamy, so it sticks and will definitely keep any other eyeshadow in place. I’ve noticed that my eye makeup looks a lot better at the end of the day if I applied this first.
I would only recommend applying this on your lid though, since it is so creamy it might crease a bit otherwise.
Overall I think this is a great product if you’re in a rush but don’t want to skip eyeshadow entirely or it also makes a great base. I wouldn’t use it as an eyeliner though because it’s a bit too creamy for me and I’m afraid it might smudge but that’s just my opinion. I’m pretty confident I will buy this in a few other shades as well though.
Have you ever tried this? What is your favorite NYX product?
Hey Lovelies! I’ve been picking up a few make up items lately, so I thought I’d pick out my favorite and do a bit of a first impression haul mix post. So here we go!
The first thing, which might also be my favorite from this haul, is this beautiful Essence Hello Autumn multi color powder. Just look at it. I’m in love with the design of the pretty little leaves. It’s so adorable. I’ve used it a few times now and I really like it so far. Sometimes I use this instead of blush and just swirl it up and apply on my cheekbones. I love how it functions as a highlighter but still gives my cheeks a very slightly bronze. Of course you could also dust this powder lightly all over your face to get a bit of a bronzed and glowing complexion.
Next up are these two beauties. The one on the left is the Catrice Limited Edition Metallure Metallic Marbled Eyeshadow in Metalight. Yep, that’s an obnoxiously long name but the eyeshadow itself is gorgeous. Because it’s a marbled eyeshadow it looks a bit different evey time I use it but in general it’s like a shimmery champaign shade I would say.
The one on the right is the Catrice Liquid Metal Eyeshadow in 030 We Are The Champaignes. I’m not entirely sure why this is called liquid because it’s not but it’s definitely a metallic shade. I’d say it’s more of a golden than a champaign color but it’s beautiful anyway.
Last but not least I got this Maxfactor Lip Infinity in Dazzling Cocoa. I don’t really have any brown lipsticks and I like the concept of this. First you apply a darker lip color, which looks like a gloss but basically is a liquid lipstick. After it dries of you put the gloss on top. It’s incredibly long lasting and I love the colors for fall.
So what have you guys been buying?
Thanks for reading!
I’m quite the fan of Mac’s eyeshadow, so when I found out about their new Mineralize Eye Shadow X4 I just kind of had to get one. They are available in 6 different variations. I went for a Medley of Mauves which is a mix of pink, purple and brown shades.
Let’s talk about the packaging first. The eyeshadows come in a round packaging, which fits perfectly into the palm of your hand. It does come with quite the big mirror, which makes it easy to apply your make up whenever you’re on the go.
The pigmentation is very strong and they last all day without having to be reapplied. The colors are absolutely gorgeous and match together perfectly. I love how they have a variety of light and dark shades because you can create casual every day looks but you can bring in the dark colors and create a night eye make up within seconds.
With this variation you get one pretty dark brown shade, which is perfect for the crease or waterline, one dark purple shade, a mix of pink and purple and a light pink shade.
The light pink shade is perfect for the everyday look with a little bit of the brown shade in your crease. If you want to switch to a night make up look you can add the other colors. Even though this only includes four different shades, they offer you a big variety of make up looks you can create.
It’s very easy to apply evenly and perfect to blend. Basically it’s everything I’m looking for in an eyeshadow.
The shades are all a bit shimmery, so if you are looking for a matte eyeshadow these aren’t for. Otherwise I can only recommend them.
Have a lovely day!

It’s Tuesday, which means it’s time for another one of my spring/summer faves. In case you’ve missed lasts Tuesday’s post you can check it out here. Today I will introduce my favorite spring/summer eyeshadow to you. For an every day look I usually prefer more neutral colors but every once in a while I like to spice up my look by adding some radiant colors and what better time to do that than summer?
The one on the left is Firecracker by May and the one on the right is a mini palette by Artdeco. Not only do both of them come in some of the cutest packages ever but they also are very radiant and strong colors.
As the name already lets you predict it this one is a pretty red color with a little hint of orange. It’s absolutely gorgeous and great to add a little color to brighten up any look.
The Artdeco Pallette
This pallette includes a light blue shade and brown shade, which reminds me very much of bronzer. Both colors are lovely and you can create such pretty looks with it. What I really like about them is, that they are very shimmery and strongly pigmented.
So these are my favorite eyeshadows to use in spring and summer. What are yours?
Happy Tuesday! XX
Hey there my fellow make-up lovers. Anyone seen the commercial for Maybelline’s new Super Stay Better Skin foundation? I have like a million times, so today I finally bought it. Of course once I was in the store I couldn’t just buy one thing and spend a little more than intended.
This is it. Maybelline new Super Stay Better Skin foundation. Supposedly it gives you a flawless teint, that lasts all day. I know a lot of foundations promise this but what’s different about this one is, that apparently it also improves your skin within 3 weeks. That got me curious, so I’m gonna give it a try in the next few days and let you guys know what I think.
Today I also found out that Maybelline has a new nude lipstick collection and since I love the nude look for my everyday make up I couldn’t help myself. I just had to get one. This is nr. 725 Tantalizing Taupe. I like this color because it’s not too light and not too dark. It’s got a rich texture and also adds a little shimmer to your lips. I think it’s one of my new fave lipsticks.
I’m also a fan of the Maybelline Eyestudio eyeshadow palettes. The colors go together so perfectly and I really needed a new one for my everyday make up, so I decided to go with this one, because I love these earthly tones. It’s the nr. 2 Vivids Plum. I also love the size of these because they fit into every purse, so you can always carry them with you in case you need a touch up.
The Big Eyes mascara and the Master Precise liquid eyeliner are re-purchases. I’ve bought them a while ago and I really liked them.Especially the eyeliner. I’m pretty sure this is my third already. It basically looks like a felt-tip and using it is as easy as drawing a line with a felt-tip. So it’s definitely a recommendation for all the girls that have problems with drawing the perfect line. I usually don’t run into trouble with drawing a line with my eyeliner because of years of practice but this one is great when I’m in a hurry and really have to rush.
Last but not least I also purchased this adorable little mini hairspray. I have to admit I use A LOT of hairspray. It’s probably one of my most used beauty products, so now I can always carry one with me because it’s so tiny. I’m in love it.
That was it for today. Have a lovely day folks!:)
