Lipstick Obsession Of The Week

As I’ve mentioned again and again I’m without a doubt an obsessive lipstick hoarder! I can never have enough lipsticks and my collecting is constantly growing. Whenever I buy a new lipstick and really like it I get totally obsessed with it and wear it non-stop for a few weeks before I move on to the next lipstick. I just can’t commit to one but then again why would I even want to when there are so many amazing colors and finishes and brands out there, right?

My current obsession is the NYX soft matte lip cream in Stockholm. I’ve raved about the NYX Butter Glosses many times on my blog before and I’ve been dying to try their matte lip creams but they weren’t available over here until fairly recently. Obviously as soon as I found out I could purchase them now I ordered two colors because I just HAD to try them.

I already own a few matte lip creams by other brands but somehow I didn’t have a single nude shade in my collection. (I always go for the dark reds/purples) So I knew right away that I wanted to get a nude shade and eventually ended up purchasing the color Stockholm and OH MY GOD it was love at first application.

The color is absolutely stunning! It’s the perfect neutral nude, that goes with so many makeup looks from a simple every day look to a heavy smoky eye. It’s so neutral it kind of adjusts to your makeup look and is perfect for evening out a heavy eye makeup.

But what I love even more than the color is the formula. Especially consider that NYX is definitely a high street brand I find the formula seriously outstanding. The product applies so evenly on the lips and gives great coverage. It’s a dream! Since it’s a matte lip cream it applies similar to a lip gloss but dries to a matte finish. Some of those matte lip creams can feel quite drying on the lips but not this one! Honestly sometimes I even forget that I’m wearing it because it feels so light on the lips and it is not drying at all! Another thing I’m also really impressed with is its lasting power! I’ve worn this shade to work now a few times and it has lasted me all day without having to reapply even ones. It started to fade slowly but evenly after 5-6 hours but it still looked nice.

I’m head over heels in love with this shade and I want to try a few others now. I also bought the shade Copenhagen, which is a really dark vampy red shade and I cannot wait to give that one a go.

Have you tried these? What were your thoughts?

Effortlessly Glowing Skin With Rodial*

If there is one makeup product I never thought I’d become so obsessed with it is highlighter. About a year and a half ago I really didn’t appreciate the wonders a good highlighter can do for my skin and thought they weren’t worth it to invest my money in but Oh God I couldn’t have been more wrong. I’ve tried Benefit and a few other drugstore highlighters but it wasn’t unit Mac Soft & Gentle, that I fell in love!

Now a year and a half later I rarely ever not wear highlighter. I’ve mentioned before that I don’t really do a lot of contouring but highlighter has become a bit of a must for me! I just absolutely love how a good highlighter can add this healthy glow to my skin. As you all know I’m very fair skinned so a combination of a good blush and highlighter can really warm up my complexion and make me look a lot less ghost like!

When the lovely people over at Rodial sent me their Instaglam Compact Delxue Illuminating Powder* I was absolutely over the moon as highlighters have become a bit of an obsession of mine (though nothing beats lipstick). First off the packaging looks so so pretty and luxurious. I could just stare at it for days. Just look at it! Like seriously how pretty does this look?

I’ve been wearing this product every single day for about a week now and let me tell you I’m in love! I’m so impressed with this highlighter. The powder is very finely milled and is so nice to apply because it blends into the skin so effortlessly. As always I have included a swatch further below but I looking at just the swatch it is very difficult to see how pretty this product really is. As you will see it looks quite skin like on my skin and by far not as glittery and sparkly as many other highlighter for example Mac’s Lightscapade. While I absolutely love an intense highlight some days, it can sometimes be a bit overboard for days when all I’m doing is attending lectures or going to the grocery store.

So what I really love about this highlighter is the fact that it is so skin like. It is shimmery but still so natural looking. Hence when you apply it to the skin it gives you the most natural radiant looking glow. Almost as if your skin is glowing from within!

I’m head over heels for this highlighter and I have a feeling it is going to become a new staple within my makeup bag!

Building Up My Mac Palette

One thing I’ve been wanting to own for years now probably is my own Mac palette. If you read my blog or follow my Instagram you might know that Mac Cosmetics is probably my favorite makeup brand if I had to choose (though that almost seems impossible). I’m obsessed with lots of different makeup brands but it’s Mac that was my first more high-end brand that I’ve tried and it’s the one brand that really started my makeup obsession and kind of got me into the world of makeup, so I think that’s why it’s so special to me.

Now while I have quite the big Mac lipstick collection I don’t really own a lot of their eyeshadows although I’ve really been wanting to build my own palette for a long time now. I’ve recently mentioned that I’m working on the weekends now and I got my first pay check paid into my bank account the other day, which was quite the moment for me to be honest. It’s definitely nice to have some extra money to spend and it feels even better to know I’ve earned it myself. So my dad told me I should go and buy something special before starting to save up. I thought about what I might like and thought why not finally start building up that Mac palette I’ve been dreaming of? So I went online and ordered one of their Pro Palettes. Now I haven’t purchased one of the inlays yet as I’m not quite sure if I want one. I think they do make the palettes look more neat but then again I can’t fit in as many eyeshadow. So I’m still debating on that. Along with the palette I ordered 5 eyeshadows after watching tons of Mac eyeshadow must-have videos on YouTube.

I already owned 4 regular eyeshadows by Mac before, a limited edition one and two of the new extra dimension eyeshadows, so I depotted my regular Mac ones and put them into my palette as well. And today I thought why not show you the colors I purchased and then maybe I can do some updates once my palette is filled up more.

Now I’m going to start in the left top corner and work my way done just letting you know what shades I’m owning with a quick description followed by swatches of course.

Shroom was my first ever Mac eyeshadow and as you can see it’s also my most used one. It’s a gorgeous shimmery shade, which I mostly use as a brow bone highlight.

Naked Lunch

I think Naked Lunch is a gorgeous light pinky champagne color. I love to use this one all over my lid.

All That Glitters

This one is quite the popular shade and I can definitely see why because it’s such a beautiful rose gold like shade. This is another one that I think looks stunning applied all across the lid.

Woodwinked is another very popular shade and I absolutely love this one. It’s the most perfect bronzy gold.

This one is my second Mac eyeshadow I ever bought and I love this one because it’s a gorgeous shimmery brown with a bit of gold glitter to it.

Everyone needs a good matte brown, so I figured this shade would definitely come in handy. Especially for the crease.

Since I always hear everyone going on and on about how beautiful cranberry is for fall eye makeup looks and how it’s supposed to be especially flattering on blue eyes I finally caved in last year and bought it. And boy am I glad I did because it’s stunning and makes my blue eyes really stand out.

Green Smoke

My grandma actually bought this color for me a while back and why I’m not sure I would’ve picked it out for myself I do actually really like it. As the name suggests it’s like a muddy smoky green, that’s nice for a bit of a different smoky eye.

Satin Taupe

This is probably the one Mac eyeshadow everyone seems to own, so obviously I needed to buy it. After trying it out a few times now I can definitely see why as it’s incredibly beautiful.

(Swatches from left to right: Shroom, Naked Lunch, All That Glitters, Woodwinked, Tempted, Espresso, Cranberry, Green Smoke, Satin Taupe)

Although Shroom and Naked Lunch don’t seem to really show up here on this swatch they definitely do on my eyes.

So these are the shades that I currently have in my Mac palette and I’m very much looking forward to getting more. I’m always looking for good recommendations, so please do let me know your must haves!

Much love,

How Blogging Has Changed Me

I can’t quite believe it myself but at the end of this month my little blog turns 1! How crazy is that? When I first set up an account here on WordPress it was just for fun and I didn’t think I was going to stick with it for an entire year and even less, find a hobby I enjoy doing this much. Now I might not have the biggest following, the fanciest writing style, the most stunning photos or the prettiest blog design but blogging is something I genuinely enjoy doing and I’m glad I created my own little space on the Internet as it has changed me, personally, in quite a few good ways.

Blogging requires you to be fairly creative as you constantly have to come up with new ideas for blog posts, ways to improve your photography or maybe you’re good with design and you’re always working on making your blog design even pretties. I’ve written and published 247 posts on my blog so far and if I think about that now that’s quite a lot. Now some might be more interesting and creative than others but I honestly never thought I’d find so much to blog about when I typed up my first post. My blog pictures aren’t the most beautiful ones out there but they have improved massively from when I first started and though I’m not perfectly content with them I feel like I’m on the right track. In general I just feel like I’ve really become so much more creative through blogging and I’m really happy about that.

Organization/Time Management

I have to admit I still haven’t mastered time management and being organized entirely but it has improved greatly from just a year a go. I keep a little notebook with me at all times now in which I write ideas down for blog posts. I sometimes write up a schedule of when I want to post what and this has definitely helped me with uni work as well. I may not always write it down but I have a little plan in my head of what I really want to get done each day and quite surprisingly I manage to stick to that little plan most of the time.

I’ve always admired those people, who would wear whatever they want to no matter what others might say. Though I’ve moved around quite a lot I spent the last few years of High School in a relatively small town with a bunch of very judgmental people. I’ve always believed that the way you do your makeup and the way you dress can (doesn’t necessarily have to but can) be a way of expressing yourself, yet I never felt confident to sport that bold red lip or those fancy heels. I would sit at home and try out the most unique make up looks but I was never brave enough to wear them outside of the house in fear of being judged by others. Nowadays I really couldn’t care less. If I spent a little fortune on a lipstick I might as well wear it proudly, right? I wore bright orange or pink lips a lot this summer when I was back home and though some people might have looked a me like ‘what the hell’ I didn’t give a damn anymore. I only live once and just because some people in a little town no one knows of anyway don’t like the color lipstick I’m wearing it’s not going to stop me from wearing it anyway. Judge all you want.

Doing Something

Before blogging I spent most of my free time browsing the Internet for hours or watching YouTube videos and my favorite shows whenever I wasn’t busy with school, later on Uni work, or hanging out with friends. Obviously I still watch my favorite shows and browse the Internet for make up and fashion stuff but I spend a good amount of time on my blog as well. I really try to take my time for writing my posts and taking my pictures as I feel like quality is always more important than quantity. I write lists of blog post ideas and I try out different make up looks I could blog about. Basically I now feel like I’m actually doing something useful with my free time and like I am accomplishing something because it makes me so happy whenever someone likes a post of mine or leaves a thoughtful comment.

These are just a a few ways in which blogging has changed me as a person and I fee like for those reasons alone starting a blog was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Has blogging changed you in any way and if yes how?

Thanks so much for reading!

A Lip Color I’m Loving ATM

Is it really Sunday already? I guess time flies when you’re having fun trying to make all the deadlines for your papers and essay. I’ve had a crazy busy weekend and I’ll be having a crazy busy week because my midterms are literally just around the corner, but I still wanted to post something on this lovely Sunday. It’s going to be a short one, but that’s okay because I just want to share one lip product with you guys I’m really loving right now.

It’s the Sephora Cream Lip Stain in Endless Purple. This is such a gorgeous dark purple color. I like wearing it because it’s definitely out of my comfort zone and it has a something mysterious almost gothic like to it. I can’t really explain it but I simply adore this color right now. Plus I think it’s a great color for fall and I think I’ll be wearing this even more in winter.

I’m really happy with the cream lip stain itself as a product as it stays on for ages. Actually it’s really hard to remove. The only downside is that you have to be extremely precise when you apply this on your lips because it is so hard to remove you can’t mess up or otherwise it will stain your skin and nobody wants that kind of look.

Nonetheless it’s a great product in a beautiful shade.

Here’s a swatch and how it looks on the lips.

So wat do you guys think? And what lip colors are you loving at the moment?

Wear Berries!

I’m pretty sure I’ve mentioned this in a few recent posts but lately I have been quite obsessed with berry lips. A berry lip is just the perfect shade for fall in my opinion. Lately I came across a berry lipstick, that I’ve been absolutely loving and which I really want to share with you guys.

Today’s post is all about the Essence long wearing lipstick in Wear Berries. Essence has really been impressing me with their products because they are pretty good quality for a ridiculously affordable price. You may have noticed this as I’ve mentioned quite a few of their products on here lately but truth is I just really like them.

So… Wear Berries is not your typical berry shade, I would say. It’s a bit more on the plum/purple side, but nevertheless it is a gorgeous shade for fall. The finish of this lipstick is not entirely matte but it’s not glossy either. I’d say it’s somewhere in between and probably more of a satin finish if that makes any sense. Sorry, I’m just not the best at describing those things. However, I really do like the formula. It feels quite moisturizing on my lips and it’s not drying at all, which is pretty awesome since it’s getting a lot colder now and I know a lot of you probably have problems with dry lips (including myself). You just don’t want your lips to look messy and dry, so this is definitely a plus.

The packaging is fairly simple. It comes in a sleek black tube and in the middle of it there’s a stripe of the color of the actual lipstick. I’d say it even comes quite close to how the lipstick actually looks on your lips.

Here’s a swatch.

And this is how it looks on the lips.

IMG_0108 IMG_0109

I’ve really been liking this lipstick and even though it is quite the bold color there’s just something about this lipstick, which makes it very wearable throughout day time for me. I love how you can just quickly smack some of this on your lips without making a huge mess. It lasts a fair share amount of time, so you don’t have to constantly reapply it.

If you’re looking to try out different lipstick shades for fall I’d definitely recommend this one as it’s a lovely color and very affordable.

Have you tried any Essence lipsticks? What did you think?

A Skin Care Staple

It wasn’t until about a year ago that I really got into skin care. Yes, you heard that right. I’ve always made sure to take my make up off before I went to bed at night and I sometimes would use a cleanser and a moisturiser but it wasn’t until a year, that I started investing in more products and  building up my own skin care routine. Nowadays I can’t imagine my life without my skin care routine. At least not the night one. I do sometimes lack the energy to do the full routine when I have to get up early in the morning. I’m sure I’m not the only one though. We’re all humans and I belong to the kind, who really appreciate sleep. Just not really a morning person.

In today’s post I’m not going to talk about my entire routine but about one product I’ve been repurchasing every time after having run out of it, so I think it’s safe to say it’s become one of my skin care staples within the last few months.

I’m talking about the The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil. If you’ve ever done any kind of google search on skin care you might have come across tea tree oil and how it’s supposed to be amazing for acne prone skin. I don’t really have, never really had, acne prone skin but for whatever reason I started getting more breakouts when I started university a year ago. Weirdly enough I’ve always had perfectly clear skin until I moved to the Netherlands to start university. I didn’t know whether it was caused by stress or hormones but I did know I wanted to do something against it. Hence I did some google research and came across this little gem. It’s not a magical product, that just makes your skin picture perfect but it has helped my skin to improve immensely in the course of a few months.

Now what I do is, I apply a bit of this oil on all the parts of my face, where I think I need it. Basically I cover any blemishes with this. It took some time but my skin has been improving a lot since then and I just love the refreshing feeling it leaves on my skin. It just feels so clean. Although I’m not really a fan of the smell of this product, as it is quite strong, I love this little oil and I’m so glad I discovered it. If you’re struggling with some blemishes or spots I think this is a great product to get rid of those. It leaves a really refreshing feeling on your skin and most importantly it doesn’t dry it out.

It’s definitely a product I will continue to use because it’s amazing and really affordable!

What are some of your skin care staples? Have you ever tried this?

Another Month, Another Haul

Hey lovelies!

I’m a bit ashamed that I have another haul post for you already. My latest haul post was posted a few days back and here I am typing up a new one already. I guess it’s safe to say that I haven been a bit naughty when it comes to spending money lately. Admitting you have a problem is the first step though, right?

However I don’t regret buying any of these lovely pieces (so far) and I’m excited to share them with you. Let’s rock and roll.

Diorskin Star Foundation

This lovely little beauty is the latest edition to my make up collection. I just got it yesterday and haven’t actually tried it yet but I have very high hopes for this one. I’m very much on the pale side and have trouble finding a drugstore foundation that matches up with my skin tone. During the summer months I bought the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation, which I have been loving but unfortunately it is now a bit too dark. Originally I wanted to buy the YSL Fusion Ink but after reading some more reviews I was more and more unsure whether to buy it because I heard that it is quite drying and I have pretty dry skin already. Hence I went to one of my favorite make up stores and one of the lovely ladies who work there matched me up with a few different foundations and the Dior one just looked exactly like my skin. You could not even tell I was wearing any foundation, so I’m really excited to fully test it.

Next up are some skin care items.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil

I’ve always loved the Body Shop tea tree oil as it helped me with reducing redness and blemishes and I like the refreshing feeling it leaves on my skin after using it. I simply ran out and got another one.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Overnight Serum

I’ve heard a few good things about this one, which really made me want to try it. It’s basically this oil based serum that you put on your face before you go to sleep and then it is supposed to make your skin all kinds of amazing overnight. Since I do have pretty dry skin I thought this might be a good idea and so far I’ve really been liking it. My skin looks a lot more hydrated and awake in the morning.

Sephora Cream Lip Stains

I have been lusting after these for quite a while. Unfortunately there’s no Sephora, where I live and during my last trip to Sephora in Chicago in May I forgot to get these. I was just so overwhelmed by the choices, I guess. Lucky for me though, one of my lovely friends went to Paris last weekend and got me these. I have them in the colors Always Red and Endless Purple. I can’t wait to try them out.

Essence Long Wearing Lipstick on 09 Berries

I’m obsessed with berry lipsticks at the moment and I’ve really been loving Essence. They are so affordable and surprisingly good quality for the price. Yes, I’m slightly obsessed with lip products and have way too many to wear but hey… one more can’t do any harm either, right? I’ve only worn this a few times but so far I’m really liking it.

Astor Color Last VIP in 007 Bubbly

This is my very first Astor lipstick I’ve purchased and I’m very curious how I will like it. The packaging looks really classy and I’m in love with that dark yet bright pink shade. I have a feeling I will be wearing this quite often in the next few weeks. I really am loving that color!

And that’s it for another cheeky little haul. All of these products are products, which I think I’ll be enjoying a lot and I can’t wait to fully test them. If you would like to see a full review on any of these items just let me know and I’d be more than happy to write one.

Have you guys been feeling a bit too spendy lately? What have you been buying?

The Beauty Blogger Tag

The other day I was tagged by the lovely Kavi (one of my absolute favorite beauty bloggers. If you haven’t checked out her blog you need to go do that right now because you’re so missing out. Her blog is awesome!) to do this tag and since I can’t even remember the last time I did a tag and I really enjoyed reading her post I decided to do it myself. I haven’t been blogging for a very long time but it’s something I genuinely enjoy doing, so  if you want to know a bit more about my views on make up just keep on reading :)

1. Why did you start blogging and how long have you been blogging for?

I’ve always been quite the girly girl and my passion with make up developed when I was about 14. Ever since then I’ve been trying to figure out the world of beauty and how everything works. Another thing I’ve always been into is reading and writing, so I thought why not combine my passion for the beauty world with my passion for writing and make a useful hobby out of it. I started around 9 months ago. I actually started my blog on  December 24th 2013. I had just started University and I just liked the idea of having my own little corner on the Internet, where I could just be myself and write about what I’m most passionate about. When I started my blog I started it just for myself. I never really thought I’d actually get a decent amount of views and I never thought people would read my ramblings but apparently some people do, which really means a lot to me.

2. Whose blog did you fall in love with first?

This is a really tough one. I don’t really remember. Before starting my own blog I actually didn’t really read any other blogs but as I started to engage more in the blogging community and joined chats on Twitter I found a lot of lovely blogs along the way. And I also discovered some really great blogs here on wordpress. Now I can’t really imagine my life without reading other blogs. I feel like you can learn so much from other people and I’m not just reading beauty blogs anymore. I’ve really enjoy reading simple lifestyle posts or DIY’s or great recipes. So much inspiration.

3. What was the first blogsphere hyped about product that you bought? Was it worth the hype?

As I already said I didn’t really read other blogs before starting my own. In fact I had no idea there was an entire beauty blogger community before, so basically I just went into a store and bought whatever products I liked. This has definitely changed now. Especially before splurging on a high end make up product I read tons of reviews and my wish list is constantly growing. The first thing I bought because of blogging was probably the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette but I can honestly say I don’t regret buying it. It’s worth every penny. I’ve really been getting so much use out of it.

4. What are your five favourite things about blogging and being a beauty blogger?

Wow.. this is another tough one. There are so many great things about blogging but my top 5 probably are (in a random order) :

1. the lovely community and having been able to get to know some amazing people through their blogs

2. seeing that people out there actually read what I’m writing. Every comment I get on my blog always puts a smile on my face.

3. I feel like I’ve become a lot braver when it comes to experimenting with make up

4. It’s so cool when I see that people from all around the world read my blog

5. getting inspiration from other blogs

5. What have you learnt from being a beauty blogger?

I guess I just learned a lot about beauty and make up in general. I’ve always been into make up but I feel like the way I perceive the beauty world now is different. It’s a bit hard to describe but I think I’ve really learned how to enhance the features I like about my face in the best way. I don’t use make up to cover up myself but more to emphasise the parts I like best and I think everyone should keep that in mind when doing their make up. Don’t hide your face under layers and layers of make up. Embrace your favorite features! Additionally I’ve seen what a difference doing your eyebrows can make… a huge one!

6. Have you changed anything since becoming a beauty blogger?

Yes, I definitely have and I would be lying if I said no. First of all my make up collection has grown a lot more in a relatively short amount of time. I’ve always had a lot but I’ve definitely been adding more high end products to my collection. Before buying something I pretty much always read a ton of reviews now.  Plus I’ve really gotten into skincare. Everyone always says skin care is so important and I just can’t stress enough how true that is. When I was in high school and all my friends were breaking out I had the most clear skin but because everyone was wearing foundation and powder I felt the need to join the club even though I wouldn’t have needed it. The problem though was that I didn’t really care about skin care, which my skin didn’t thank me for. Gladly I figured out the importance now and my skin’s been improving a lot again.

I think most of all though I’ve become so much braver with experimenting with my make up. I used to alway envy those girls who would walk around in public with bold lips or dramatic eye make up. Nowadays I really don’t care what others think anymore. If I wanna wear a dark purple, bright orange or bubblegum pink lip I will do it.

7. Is there any advice that you would give beauty bloggers just starting out?

Considering I only started out around 9 months ago I don’t think I can give any great advice. I guess just be yourself and write about what you are passionate about instead of what you think others want to read. It’s your blog, so it should reflect your personality. I always like to throw in some personal or lifestyle posts every once in a while because I, personally, enjoy reading blogs where the personality of the blogger shines through more. It just makes everything more authentic to me.

8. What are your top five makeup brands?

Another hard one… gosh there are so many brand I love. My favorite drugstore brands would probably be Maybelline and L’Oreal. My first make up item ever was a Maybelline mascara and I haven’t looked back since. Lately I’ve also really been loving NYX. Since Mac was the very first high end brand I discovered and they kind of introduced me to a whole new other world of make up, Mac might be my all time favorite brand. So I just need one more… wow this is difficult. I think this is so hard because I love YSL lipsticks, Nars blushers and Urban Decay eyeshadows. Please don’t make me pick!

9. Recommend your top five beauty products?

Obviously there are a ton of products I absolutely love but these are probably the ones I kind of need in my life.

1. Mac Mineralize Skinfinish Natural – I’ve mentioned this powder multiple times on here. It’s my holy grail. I love it and I cannot live without it.

2. Mac lipsticks – Haven’t found a single one I didn’t like.

3. Maybelline The Falsies Mascara – everyone loves this and there’s a good reason. It’s amazing

4. EOS lip balms

5. Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation – It’s that one foundation I wear when I really want to look good.

Well, I really hope you enjoyed reading my answers to this tag. I always really enjoy reading these tags, so I’m tagging everyone who wants to do this. If you do decide to answer the questions make sure to let me know, so I can have a nosey little read!

Thanks for reading!

Perfect Products For That Bronzed Summer Glow

We all love that summer glow, right? There’s nothing better then returning from a fun summer vacation with a nice tan and radiant skin. Well, not all of us can go on vacation and not all of us tan. I always have to use loads of sun screen or else I’ll freaking burn, so basically I have the option between turning into a lobster or just staying the pale white person I am. I usually opt for the last one unless I forget to put on sun screen. Now this is where make up comes in handy. Us lucky ladies still have the possibility to recreate that pretty summer glow with a bunch of amazing make up product and those products is exactly what today’s post is all about. I’m sharing my favorite products for a nice summer glow with you guys.

First of let’s talk base. A good base is the first and a really important step for great summer skin. Since it might get a little hot and you might be sweating a bit in the heat of the summer sun I prefer to use a BB cream on those hot summer days. BB creams are much lighter on the skin than foundations and therefore don’t go caky on you. Plus some of them can even improve your skin from any imperfections while wearing them and let’s be honest! Who wouldn’t want that, right? My favorite BB cream of all time would have to be the Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector. I’ve heard of people who didn’t like it as much but for me this really does work miracles. It gives a good coverage while still being light on the skin. It lasts me all day and yeah… it just works little miracles.

Another important part of a good base is, obviously, a decent concealer. One of my personal favourites is the Mabyelline Fit Me concealer. Just love this stuff. Lastly you might need a powder to set your foundation or to cover up shiny skin. For summer I prefer translucent powder.

Next up is bronzer. Bronzer is the perfect product for every girl that just doesn’t really get tan, so basically me. Even if I do tan a little at times my face never ever tans. It seriously doesn’t, which is why I like to use a bit of bronzer to give my skin that slightly tan sun kissed look. My personal favorite bronzer currently is the Body Shop Honey bronzer. I’ve tried a bunch of others and even though I did like them they were just too dark for my skin and made it look so fake and there’s nothing I hate more than looking fake. The Body Shop offers quite a range of different shades and I even found one suiting my skin type. YAY! If you’re pale and looking for a good and affordable bronzer I can honestly recommend this one.

Okay, so this highlighter I only got recently but it is already one of my favorite products ever. This is the Mac Mineralizing Skinfinish Highlighter in Soft & Gentle. There’s really not much to say about this product apart from that it’s absolutely stunning! I love applying this on my cheekbones or along my brow bone for a bit of a highlighting shimmer. It is just so pretty and I feel like this would pretty much suit any type of skin color whether your super pale like me or really tan. It’ll look gorgeous anyway. I tried to take a picture of a swatch. My camera did pick it up but in reality it looks even more beautiful. I know this isn’t the cheapest highlighter out there and I was really debating whether to get it or not but it’s really worth the money. Besides it’s really going to last you ages as you probably won’t use it every day and you won’t need much of it because it’s really pigmented.

Last but not least we’re going to need blush to perfect our summer glow. One of my favorite blushers for summer has to be this Bobbi Brown shimmer brick. I believe this one was a limited edition but I think there are still some out there that are quite similar to this one. All of the colors included in this shimmer brick look absolutely beautiful on their own and add some shimmer to your skin to make it glow but you can also use one big brush and swirl them all up together to create a perfect light bronze shade with a hint of gold and light pink. I’ve swatched them all for you and also added a swatch of all of them mixed up together.

And we’ve already reached the end. These are the products I like to use to kind of recreate that bronzed summer glow you usually get when going on vacation somewhere warm and sunny.
