Tom Ford Eye Color Quad in 13 Orchid Haze

One makeup item, which had been on my wish list for the longest time was one of the Tom Ford Eye Color Quads but since they are so damn expensive I hesitated on buying one for a while. Their lipsticks at $52 are already very pricey in my opinion but 80$ for an eyeshadow quad sure is one heavy price tag. Nonetheless I’ve been dreaming about purchasing one of these because I absolutely love Tom Ford lipsticks and the eyeshadow quads just look so insanely beautiful. So when I got a makeup gift card for my birthday I decided to spend it all on one Tom Ford item but I can’t even say I regret it because I love it so much.

IMG_0961

First off let’s just admire the packaging! It’s just so stunning I could literally stare at it for hours. Call me crazy I don’t care! What I do have to say though is that I was kind of positively surprised by how big the quad actually is, so there’s another plus. It also comes with two small double sided brushes. Now I personally never use any of the little brushes that come with any kind of eyeshadow quad or palette but it’s still nice to have them just in case. The last thing I want to mention about the packaging is that the quad comes with a massive mirror, which is another huge plus in my book. Gotta love a nice sized mirror for traveling!

IMG_0954IMG_0962

After lots of internet research I eventually decided to go with number 13 Orchid Haze because lately I’ve been loving mauve, dark purples and slightly rose toned brown shades, probably thanks to the Tartelette in Bloom palette. I was really hoping that I would love all four shades and thankfully Tom Ford did not let me down. Each shade is so soft and buttery, not chalky at all and incredibly pigmented. They all apply so nicely and blend like an absolute dream. Honestly the formula is amazing.

IMG_0956

I’ve mentioned before how much I love my shimmery eyeshadow, so I was especially happy about the slightly golden champagne highlighting color and its pigmentation. I feel like many of those light highlighting shades often swatch beautifully on your arm but once applied to your lid they seem to loose their pigmentation. At least I’ve come across a lot that seem to do so, which always results in me having to pack quite a lot of product onto my eyelids to reach the desired pigmentation. However with this eyeshadow I’ve not had that problem at all. It still looks absolutely beautiful on the eyes and so do the other three. My second favorite is the mauvey one in the bottom left. I absolutely love this as a transition color. It’s so stunning.

IMG_0957

So is it worth $80? I believe with makeup products this expensive everyone has to kind of answer this question for themselves. Obviously there is absolutely no need at all to spend this much money to get some great eyeshadows because you can get so many other amazing products from other great brands for much less. Nonetheless to me it was worth the money but to me makeup is much more than something I just slap on my face. I love collecting makeup products especially high end ones, which is why I’m okay with spending the money because I know that despite Tom Ford makeup being so pricey it really is of very great quality and I’m not just paying for the name. Basically what I’m saying is if you’re someone who likes to splurge on luxurious high end makeup I would always recommend Tom Ford as a brand but nonetheless you can find tons of other great products for a much more affordable price.

As always thank you so much for reading!

Much love,

Sophie

A Little Birthday Makeup Haul

So last Monday I turned 21 and since my family knows me quite well I received quite a few makeup bits and pieces along with some other things of course but I thought why not do a little haul and show you which makeup items I got. Let’s get right to it!

IMG_9656

Tom Ford in 04 Pussycat

The very first item I received is this absolutely stunning Tom Ford lipstick. I personally love Tom Ford lipstick despite the heavy price tag and I’ve been trying to hunt down this specific color for a while now because it is such a gorgeous color but I seem to have been out of luck. Hence I was quite ecstatic when I unwrapped this little stunner.

IMG_9934IMG_0322

Mac Single Eyeshadows in Jest, Cork and Sketch

Ever since I started trying to build up my Mac palette I’ve created a list of colors I still need for my palette and these three have been on that list for quite some time. So far I’ve only tried Jest and Cork and I absolutely love both. Just as expected Cork is such a perfect crease color but I was even more surprised by how much I liked Jest when I first applied it. It’s so beautiful and very nicely pigmented. Now I’m really intrigued to finally try Sketch.

IMG_9927

Zoeva Rose Golden Palette

I love Zoeva brushes but had never tried anything else from the brand, which is why I had my eye on this little beauty. Okay, seriously how freaking pretty is the packaging? This is just one of the palettes I would buy alone just for its pretty packaging. But I also love the Rose Gold inspired colors in this palette. I’ve used the palette only twice since I got it but I’m really liking it so far.

IMG_0321

Real Techniques Core Collection

Everybody seems to love these brushes, which is why I’ve been wanting to try them out and put them on my wish list. I guess you can never go wrong with some basic brushes. As you can probably tell from the picture I’ve already tried them (sorry I did not feel like washing them for one photo). So far I’m definitely liking them.

IMG_0319

Chanel Lipstick in 99 Pirate

This is such a stunning lipstick I don’t even have words for it. It’s so perfect from the packaging to the color. But it’s Chanel so there’s not really much more to say.

IMG_0320

The Balm Mary-Loumanizer Highlighter

This is another product I’ve been wanting to try for the longest time because everyone raves about it and I have a bit of an obsession with highlighters. I cannot wait to use it!

IMG_9998

Tom Ford Eyeshadow Quad in 13 Orchid Haze

This one I actually chose myself and got it with a gift card. I thought about this long and hard and whether it was worth the splurge but then again I’ve been dreaming of owning one of these for the longest time, so in the end I just went with it and so far I’ve not regretted it. The shades are all so pigmented and just beautiful!

So this concludes my little haul of what I got for my birthday. Well at least makeup wise. I hope you enjoyed reading this.

Lots of love,

Sophie

Tartelette In Bloom Palette

Last summer I unexpectedly fell in love with Tarte’s Tartelette palette, so the second I found out that they would come out with the Tartelette in Bloom palette I knew right away that I had to get my hands on it at some point. I finally got it around a month ago and have been playing around with it ever since.

IMG_9145

I think I’ve mentioned several times before how much I love glittery and shimmery eyeshadow. The more glitter the better, which is why I usually gravitate towards very shimmery eyeshadow and neglect the mattes, although we all need some good basic mattes in our makeup collection. After all it’s the mattes that help us to really add definition and dimension to our eye makeup! Initially I wanted the Tartelette palette because I figured that having an all matte palette would come in quite handy. What I didn’t expect was how much I would end up loving it. It has become one of my most used palettes in the past 6 or 7 months. Hence I just needed the Tartelette in Bloom palette in my life!

IMG_9146

While the Tartelette palette comes with 12 all matte shades the Tartelette in Bloom includes 9 matte shades but also comes with 3 gorgeous shimmery shades. But before I start talking more about the palette itself let’s take a moment to appreciate the stunning packaging! I think it’s so pretty. Every time I look at it I think of spring and sunshine and pretty flowers and it just makes me so happy. Okay now back to the actual product.

IMG_7273

If you look at both Tartelette palettes the first one definitely includes more cool toned shades like soft pinks, lilacs and purples along with your basic neutral matte shades. In contrast the Tartelette in Bloom palette has much more earthy warm toned shades, so they are definitely quite different when it comes to the color scheme.

IMG_9147IMG_9148

What I love about this palette is that there’s not one shade I dislike or not use at all. Of course I have my favorites but I do use them all. I love how soft and buttery each shade is and they are all so nicely pigmented. One minor thing I was not too happy about with my Tartelette palette was that some of the darker pink/purple shades weren’t as pigmented and didn’t apply as evenly as the other shades in the palette. However, I find all the shades in the Tartelette in Bloom palette to be very nicely pigmented and they all apply evenly and are a dream to blend.

IMG_9149

Of course I’m including swatches as always. The shades from left to right are Charmer, Jetsetter, Rocker, Smokeshow, Flower Child, Smarty Pants, Firecracker, Activist, Funny Girl, Sweetheart, Rebel and leader.

IMG_9150

To round off my review I just wanted to tell you which shades are my personal favorites. I love Jetsetter and Rebel for the crease and Flower Child and Sweetheart are lovely transition colors in my opinion. Obviously I love all 3 shimmery shades but Funny Girl is by far my favorite. It’s so stunning I can’t use this palette without using it. I love applying it all over my lid. Lastly one shade I’m also obsessed with is Leader. I don’t even know how to describe this color but it’s a gorgeous slightly reddish deep brown and I love using it to darken the crease as well as the outer V and along my waterline sometimes.

As you can probably already guess I love this palette. I couldn’t tell you which one of the two I prefer because they consist of such different colors but I’m glad I own both and they are currently some of the palettes I reach for the most. I think that about says it all!

UD Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer

Before I get into the topic of today’s blog post I just wanted to take a quick moment to thank you guys for the views, comments and likes on my last post. I was honestly a bit surprised because I’ve been so MIA on my blog lately but seeing that there are still people who seem to enjoy reading what I write has definitely motivated me even further to stay on track this time, so thank you!

With that being said let’s get back to makeup! Although my skin is not making too many problems I do have quite sensitive skin, which is why I like to stick with what I know and love when it comes to the base of my makeup (foundation, concealer, powder). I love to try out and experiment with all kinds of products, just not my basics. Hence I literally use the same foundation, concealer and powder every single time I do my makeup and rarely ever try a new product. However, every now and then I come across one that does spark my interest and I will eventually try it after doing some online research first obviously.

IMG_9001

After hearing lots of raving reviews about the UD Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer (seriously though could they have made that name any longer?) I caved in and decided to try it out because I do love Urban Decay as a brand and never purchased a product from them I didn’t like. Since I’m ridiculously pale anyway I didn’t even go to a store to get matched but just ordered the lightest shade available online.

IMG_8999

I do have to say I was a little surprised with how light the shade actually was but I do found it to be the perfect shade for my skin tone for highlighting and brightening up the under eye area. However, for covering any redness or blemishes on the rest of my face this shade definitely would have been too light. Luckily my skin is pretty clear so my foundation will usually cover up everything and I don’t need to add much concealer most days.

IMG_9002

What I really love about this concealer is that just as the name promises it feels so weightless and light on the skin. I know some people don’t mind but I just don’t like wearing products that feel really heavy on my skin. In general, I really like the formula. I find it definitely has enough coverage to cover up any dark circles and although I’ve read some people had problems with it creasing I definitely didn’t experience any creasing under my eyes with this concealer. Another thing I really like is that is has more of a luminous finish, which really adds to brightening up that under eye area.

IMG_8998

Before trying the UD concealer the Mac Pro Longwear was my holy grail concealer! So would I replace my Mac one for UD? Yes and no. When it comes to covering up dark circles and brightening I would actually prefer the UD one because it doesn’t crease on me at all, it’s very lightweight and I like the luminous finish it provides. But if it comes to covering any blemishes or redness I will definitely stick to my Mac Pro Longwear because I feel like it gives more coverage and it comes with a pump. The UD concealer comes with a wand like applicator similar to a lip gloss and I always find those to be to so unsanitary.

So to sum it up I feel like my UD and Mac concealers would make the perfect team for a flawless base.

Thanks so much for reading!

Sophie

ABH Pure Hollywood – The Perfect Nude?

Hey lovelies,

I know it’s been a very long time since my last blog post. Around 2 months to be exact but for some reason I was lacking motivation when it came to blogging and life would always get in the way. However, I’ve missed my little space on the Internet and I’m excited and most of all motivated to finally get my blogging game back on track. If you happen to follow me on any social media, especially Instagram, you might know that of course I have still continued to expand my makeup collection because I’m just obsessed and I can never get enough. So I’m looking forward to sharing lots of reviews with you in the next few weeks.

I thought my first blog post, after my little break, should be about one of my current most used products. It’s no secret that when it comes to makeup my favorite thing to buy is lipsticks and lately, just like everyone else on the Internet, I’ve been loving liquid lipsticks.

IMG_8901

One brand I’ve always wanted to try is the Anastasia Beverly Hills ones as everyone seems to be raving about them. When one of my dear friends got two of their shades for me for Christmas I was absolutely ecstatic and could not wait to try them. While I’m not too keen on the shade ‘American Doll’ she got me, although I love the color, the one I want to talk about today I’ve really come to love ever since I first applied it on my lips.

IMG_8902

The color I’m talking about is a lovely nude called ‘Pure Hollywood’. For a while I was on this dark nude lip kick and it’s all I would wear but ever since I got the Tom Ford ‘First Time’ lipstick for Christmas I’ve realized that I need more lighter nudes in my life. ‘Pure Hollywood is definitely more on the peachy side but it still has a light touch of pink to it. I think it’s a stunning color for every day or the perfect neutral color to wear kind of even out a dramatic heavy eye make up.

IMG_8903

If I’m being totally honest the formula is not my favorite because it feels slightly tacky and sticky on the lips but not enough to the point that it really bothers me. It can get quite drying after a few hours of wearing it and you definitely need to prep your lips with lip balm before applying or else it will settle into any lines and make your lips look way drier than they actually are. But what I love is how pigmented this color is, how evenly it applies and how nicely it dries down. I, personally, love a matte finish. It’s my absolute favorite and I tend to wear matte lipstick almost on a daily basis, which is why I don’t necessarily mind that it can get a little drying because a lot of matte lipsticks and especially liquid lipsticks tend to do so. However, if you do have very dry lips and prefer lipsticks which feel soft and moisturizing this one might not be the one for you.

As always I’m including a swatch of what the color looks like on my skin as well as picture of me wearing it.

IMG_8904

FullSizeRender

Although I’ve tried liquid lipsticks with a nicer formula I love the color so much that it has still become one of my current most used lipsticks. The color is just so stunning and goes with just about every makeup look. Also I find that it is quite long wearing, which is why I love wearing it at work.

Have you tried any of the ABH liquid lipsticks? What are your thoughts? Which colors would you recommend?

Thank you so much for reading!

Sophie

Because Make Up Doesn’t Define Me

” You’re such a pretty girl. I don’t know why you always put on all that make up. You totally don’t need it.” This is something that I’ve been told by quite a lot by people and lately it’s really been making me mad. Sorry, but since when do other people get to decide on what I do with my face? Last time I checked my face only belongs to me and I can do whatever the hell I want with it. It’s my choice. And what do you even mean with I wouldn’t have to wear all that make up? Are you implying that other people do need it?

SAMSUNG CSC

I’ve always had a love affair with makeup. Ever since I’ve been little I’ve loved how make up can help me transform into someone much more confident. And besides I thought it’s all about confidence these days? That’s what people tell you, right? Confidence is so attractive. Guys love confident girls. Confidence helps you with being successful in your career, so love your body and love the skin you’re in, right? Well, just because you tell me to love myself the way I am all my insecurities aren’t just magically gonna disappear, you know! Besides, just because I might wear a bit more make up than the average person doesn’t mean I’m insecure. It doesn’t mean that I hate the face that looks back at me in the mirror once all that make up comes off. I’m totally fine with how I look without make up. I don’t use make up to shape a face I don’t have and even if I did that’s still none of anyone else’s damn business.

IMG_7045

Like I’ve already mentioned I’ve loved doing my make up for years.  Yes, I do wear a full coverage foundation most days but not because I want to hide my face. I do it because I prefer the finish. Sorry, but I like my skin to look flawless. And yes I love rocking a bright lip some days because it makes me feel more empowering and I thought it was all about confidence, so if wearing a red lips is what makes me confident then what’s the problem? I occasionally put on a pair of fake lashes because I love the way they enhance my eyes. So what? Just because I do those things it doesn’t make me fake. It doesn’t mean that I’m stuck up and bitchy. It doesn’t mean that I’m materialistic. It doesn’t mean that I only care about other people’s appearance. It doesn’t mean that I have a boring personality. All it means is that I like to wear make up. Because guess what? Make up doesn’t define me. It’s just something I love to play around with. Something that makes me more confident and that gives me a little bit more strength to conquer the day.

SAMSUNG CSC

I usually try not to care about what other people think and I won’t change my ways but lately those comments have been annoying me a bit. Makeup is a hobby to me. It’s a way for me to express myself. I enjoy trying out different looks all the time and if I want to spend a little fortune on a lipstick then so be it. It’s my money after all.

I’m usually not one to go on crazy rants on my blog but this is just something that’s been bothering me for a while now and that I needed to get out of my system because I hate how people can be so judgmental and prejudiced at times. Make up doesn’t make me fake and it does not define me as a person in any way shape or form. So they can talk all they want, I’m just gonna continue to be me and do my make up the way I want to. Because I strongly believe that you should always do you and if makeup is what gives you more confidence then that’s totally okay and you shouldn’t change for anyone else.

What’s your take on this? I’d love to hear!

Much love and thank you for reading!

April Favorites

So I know it’s been a little while since my last post and it’s already May 3rd but I just love reading Monthly Favorites posts, so I wanted to share my favorite things of the month of April with you guys! As per usual it’s all make up but I do have one skin care favorite. But I don’t want to bore you with my ramblings, so let’s get right into it.

IMG_6278

The Body Shop Seaweed Iconic Clay Mask

I’m a bit of a face mask obsessed person, to be honest. I used to have such nice and clear skin all throughout high school when all of my friends were breaking out and then once I moved on to University my skin went a little crazy. I’m guessing it was due to hormones and stress but ever since then I became obsessed with skin care and having a proper skin care routine. Now my skin still isn’t as good as it used to be but it has improved immensely since then. Face masks are probably my favorite skin care item and I try to do one at least once a week. I got this one at the beginning of April and have loved it so far. I really like the scent and I feel like it just calms my skin down after a stressful week.

Mac Pro Longwear Concealer

This might be my all time favorite concealer! The coverage is amazing and it matches my skin tone so nicely. It lasts all day and covers up anything you want to cover up wether that’s just some dark circles, redness or any imperfections in your skin. This bad boy makes them all go away – at least for a day.

IMG_6283

Kiko Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow in 06 and 07

I’ve already written a review on one of these two beauties. I really like that they come in a stick form for days when I’m in a rush! Basically I just put these on real quick and they last so long! Since I loved  the shade 06 so much, which is a beautiful bronzy shade, I went and bought the shade 06 which is more of a lighter beige shade. Both are the perfect amount of shimmery and so stunning.

IMG_6279

Soleil Tan De Chanel

This was my first ever cream bronzer and it might be my favorite bronzer I own and that’s not just due to the fact that it’s Chanel. When I first heard that this bronzer is supposed to be a universal shade and suit everyone I was really skeptical. I’m quite fair skinned, so I was quite nervous that it would be too orange and make me look muddy. Thankfully it doesn’t! It’s the most natural looking bronzer I’ve ever tried, hands down! Basically I’m in love with this and since the sun has been coming out a bit I’ve used this beauty to warm up my complexion.

Milani Baked Blush – Luminoso

This is probably one of my favorite blushes for a neutral glowy complexion look. It’s a very light and shimmery peach that will probably suit everyone. It’s just a stunning neutral shade.

IMG_6285

Estee Lauder Double Wear Zero Smudge Lengthening Mascara

As you can see this is just a rather small sample size, which was included in an Estee Lauder Palette I recently purchased. However, I’ve been using this nearly every day as it’s so good. It adds so much length to my lashes and I find it perfect for a more natural look. Once I run out of this I’ll probably have to buy the full size.

Mac Velvet Teddy

I only just got this lipstick at the very beginning of April and look how much I’ve already used it but I’m obsessed! It makes my lips so much fuller and I find it to be the perfect nude for my complexion as it doesn’t wash me out. Basically I can totally understand the hype around this shade, so if you’ve thought about getting this one go for it! It’s absolutely worth it!

IMG_6281

And this already concludes my April favorites!

What have you been loving this month?

Much love,

Sophie

A Glowing Complexion with the Sleek Precious Metals Palette

Okay, so I bought this little beauty of a palette all the way back in December! I’ve been wanting to review it for weeks now but somehow I never did. But now that summer is coming up I think it’s the perfect time to review this! While I rarely use bronzer on a daily base I can hardly go a day without using highlighter! I’m a bit obsessed with highlighter to be honest! I just love how they add a nice, healthy glow to your face and brighten your complexion. Over the past month my collection go highlighter has grown quite immensely but I just love to test them all out. I can’t help myself. When I stumbled over this Sleek highlighting palette while I was in London I just immediately knew I had to have it.

IMG_4785

Usually I have more champagne, rosy kind of highlighter because I prefer them over the colds months. While this palette does contain one champagne shade it also includes 3 more golden highlights, which I think will be perfect for the summer to chi eve that golden blowy sun-kissed look! Basically this palette contains 4 shades; 3 cream highlights and one powder and all three are absolutely gorgeous! As always I’ve got some swatches for you! Just look how pretty those colors are!

IMG_4787

So you have Platinum, which is beautiful champaign color, which I love using in the inner corner of my eye or my brow bone. Next to Platinum there is Royal Gold, which is a stunning glittery gold shade. In the lower row on the left there is Renaissance Gold, which is lee glittery than Royal Gold and more of a bronzed gold. The final shade on the right, Antique Gold, is more of a copper shade and it’s also the only powder in this palette. Since Antique is a powered and quite dark you can even use it as a bronzer if you’re pale like me, as it really warms up complexion! The packaging does come with instructions on how to use which shade but I don’t really follow those to be honest.

What’s nice is that the palette comes with a relatively big mirror, which I always love because they can come in pretty handy if you’re traveling. It also includes a brush, which I’ve never used though. I either use my Zoeva creme cheek brush or my fingers to apply the cream shades, which works well for me. But I think when it comes to application and which shade you want to use for what it really comes down to what you prefer individually

IMG_4784

But to sum it all up I’m quite in love with this palette. I love how it offers more golden bronzed shades, because I don’t have any of those yet and they will be so nice once the sun comes out more and summer rolls around! If you want to achieve that golden shimmery summer glow I would definitely recommend this! The highlights are absolutely stunning and really easy to work with it.

Have you tried this palette yet? Are you highlighter obsessed as well?

Much love,

Sophie

My New Favorite Red Lipstick From The High Street

You guys might know by now how much of an obsessive lipstick hoarder I am and my collection is constantly growing as I love experimenting with different and sometimes quite exotic colors. However, nothing can bet a classic red lip for me and I’m always on the hunt for a new one. When L’Oreal released their Pure Red collection I was quite intrigued  to try one. I basically straight away knew which one I wanted to go for without even having to swatch it and the one I purchased is Blake’s Pure Red. First of all I’ve loved Gossip Girl since the very first episode came out all the way back in 2007, so I just had to get Blake’s color, right?

IMG_3166

The main reason I opted for this shade though is that it’s a deep cherry red with blue undertones. I’m blonde with light skin and blue eyes, which means cool toned reds such as this shade are perfect for my complexion. I just had to get this and it’s very far from a disappointment. Basically Blake’s Pure Red is the most perfect classic true red if you’re looking for a cool toned red that isn’t too pricey. Seriously, if you’re blonde and have pretty fair skin you need to get this lipstick!!!

IMG_3162

IMG_3170

Another thing that really stands out to me about this lipstick is its formula. I, personally, prefer my lipsticks to be matte rather than glossy but unfortunately matte lipsticks can often be very drying which is such a shame. Take Mac’s Ruby Woo for example. It’s no doubt one of my favorite lipsticks ever but it can be so drying, easily clings to any dry patches and takes a lot of effort to wear. Despite Blake’s Pure Red being a lipstick with a matte finish it doesn’t feel like you’re wearing a matte lipstick at all. In fact, it actually feels quite moisturizing on the lips and it glides on so smoothly. I’m so happy that this lipstick is so easy to apply. You don’t need to spend too much time on preparing your lips with scrubs, lip balms and what not unless you have incredibly dry lips. Otherwise this is so easy to wear. It’s not drying. It doesn’t cling to dry patches and it doesn’t smudge.

IMG_3167

Another impressive thing is how insanely pigmented this little stunner is, especially considering that it’s from the drugstore. But then again L’Oreal is one of the pricier drugstore brands and they have a great range of products, so I always expect a little more of them but this lipstick can definitely keep up with some high-end lipsticks in pigmentation and longevity of wear as well. I also really love the packaging. The black mixed with some golden details looks really classy and far from tacky, so it goes perfectly with the classic shade of the lipstick.

IMG_3158

Basically I’m obsessed. This is one of the prettiest shades I’ve come across in the drugstore and I’ve been wearing it so much lately it’s become a staple in my make up bag. A big thumbs up to L’Oreal for creating this amazing lipstick!

Have you tried any shades from the Pure Red Collection? Which is your favorite?

Thanks for reading!

Much love,

Sophie

Another Week, Another Haul?!

SAM_5531

If you happen to follow me on Instagram (@ablondesworld) you might’ve seen that I’ve been weak again and bought more make up. Yes, I know in my last haul post, which is sadly just a week old, I promised there won’t be any new make up haul posts coming up any time too soon but, oh well, looks like I’m breaking that promise. I do have an explanation though! Last weekend my best friend and I went out for some make up shopping and I ended up buying a foundation. She wanted a lipstick but couldn’t find one she really wanted (I know I’d never have that problem for sure), so we decided to go to a Mac counter this weekend, which we did yesterday. When we were there one thing lead to another and I came home with a few more things than I intended to buy. I think I need to put myself on a spending ban now. But anyway… let’s see what I got, shall we?

SAM_5504

Mac Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in light

I’ve mentioned this on this little blog of mine what feels like a million times but it’s my holy grail powder and I love it. Unfortunately I used up my old one completely, so I had to get a new one. Makes sense, right?

Mac Mineralize Skinfinish Highlighter in Soft & Gentle

This is probably one of the prettiest little things I own. I absolutely love this highlighter. Clumsy me though, I dropped my old one and it was completely shattered and smashed into tiny little pieces of dust. Trust me, it was a very sad day. Now I finally repurchased it because I just needed this beauty back in my life.

SAM_5517

Mac Eyeshadow in Cranberry

Everyone seems to love this one. It is such a gorge shade for fall and I’ve been wanting to by it for ages but for some reason never did. Now that it’s fall it keeps coming up on my Twitter timeline and many of the blogs I read. Hence I decided to finally take the plunge and buy it after all.

SAM_5521

Kiko Golden Game Sculpting Bronzer in 01 Radiant Honey

The first time I ever went into a Kiko store must have been about four years ago. I’d never heard of the brand before but they nada sale going on, so I grabbed a few things. For some, to me unknown reason though. I never went back. Not a whole lot of people I knew knew this brand and so I kind of forgot about it. Lately Kiko has been pretty hyped up though and getting a lot of attention. I’ve digged up my old Kiko products and remembered, that I actually really liked them, which was quite obvious as well because all of the products were pretty used up. I guess I just never went back for more because they only have stores in bigger cities and not too close to where I live. However I came across one of there stores yesterday and had to go in. Lots of their products have been getting so much love lately and especially this highlighter and bronzing duo has been quite hyped up, so I’m interested ins eyeing how good it really is. Or how well it works for me. The packaging, however, is absolutely stung already.

NYX Butter Gloss in Creme Brulee

If you have been following my blog for a while now you might be familiar with my obsession for these lip glosses. I only own two oft them but I just had to add another to my small but growing collection. These are my favorite lip glosses ever atm. I’m obsessed and that’s okay. I even enabled my best friend to get one and she’s not all that into make up.

NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in 611 Yoghurt

Since I loved the NYX butter glosses I thought it was time to branch out and try some more of there products. After looking through the shelves and swatching a few products I opted for this one. I don’t own a lot of eye shadow pencils, which is a shame because they are ideal for lazy days. The color of this one is a pretty light brown with some slightly pink undertones. It’s just a gorgeous color and I can’t wait to try it out.

This concludes my little haul. And when I say there really won’t be another make up haul too son I really hope I mean it this time.

Thanks for reading!
