Rapunzel Hair with Koko Couture*

Just as probably many other girls out there I’ve been dreaming of beautiful long locks, like a Disney princess, for ages. My natural hair is already relatively long.Nonetheless I wish my hair was longer and more curly because my natural hair is actually quite straight.

I’ve thought about trying some hair extension for a while but I had no idea where to start and what to look for and then good hair extensions can be pretty expensive too. So you can imagine my absolute joy when I received an email by Koko Couture  asking about whether I wanted to try one of their new Lena 3 Weft extensions. I was totally over the moon and couldn’t wait for them to arrive.

The set of extensions they sent me to try are the Lena 3 Weft Curly Extension in the shade Golden Blonde. Their Lena extensions are new to the website, they have a wide color range and you can purchase them as either curly or straight.

As the name already suggests you get 3 wefts: one with 3 clips, one with 4 and one with 5, which is a lot of hair so it’s absolutely perfect for anyone that loves big, voluminous hair. But then again who doesn’t love big voluminous hair? Its the dream, isn’t it?IMG_1566

The hair extensions are synthetic, you can heat them up to 180, which comes in handy in case you want to curl/straighten them, and you can wash them of course. Here’s a close up off one of the pieces and how pretty does it look? So blonde and shiny!

But that’s enough for basic information, now on to the actual product. Me, being an absolute newbie to clip in extension or extensions in general, I have to admit I had to go over to YouTube and watch how to apply these. But luckily I found a video, which was actually by Koko Couture, in which they show you exactly how to put these in. I only needed two attempts to put them into my hair without showing, so I was pretty pleased with myself. Now having used them a few times it only takes me 10-15 minutes to put them in properly, which is so little time if I think about how long it would usually take me to style my hair.

What I was really impressed with is how perfectly the extensions match my hair color wise. They blend in so nicely into my real hair no one noticed I was wearing them (apart from the fact that my hair was a lot longer). I think I asked just about every member of my family and my best friend a million times if they could tell and they all said that they really couldn’t even tell I was wearing extensions.I also think the hair feels really nice and looks so pretty.

So here are some pictures of what they look like on. Can you tell they’re extensions?

So to round off this post as you might already be able to guess I absolutely love these clip in extensions. They make me feel like a real life princess! They’re so easy to wear!  Whenever I’m going out and feel the desire for long hair I just clip them in real quick and I’m good to go. I couldn’t be happier with them!

Do you wear extensions sometimes? Which ones are your faves?

Thank you so much for reading!

Rodial Bee Venom Overnight Hydrating Gel*

I never really spend much thought on skincare until I started attending University about nearly 2 and a half years ago. I didn’t know much about cleansing and had never even heard of exfoliating. I’d use a moisturizer every once in a while if I could remember and very often would go to bed without removing my makeup because I just couldn’t be bothered.Oh how things have changed since then. I still wouldn’t call myself an expert or skincare fanatic but I’ve put together a morning and night time routine to keep my skin looking healthy and I do get very excited about trying new skincare products.

IMG_0266IMG_0262

When I received the Bee Venom Night overnight gel* by Rodial I could not wait to try it. I’ve only ever heard amazing things about Rodial’s skincare, so I was very excited to be able to try one of their products.

First off some information about my skin type. I have pretty normal but sensitive skin that tends to get dry quite easily, especially in the colder months. Hence I’m always on the lookout for products, that keep my skin hydrated and moisturized.

IMG_0705

Now on to the packaging. Obviously it’s yellow (I’m guessing that is name related) combined with silver. What I really like about the packaging is that the little round container comes with an integrated pump, so it is easier to get the right amount of product without wasting any, especially since it is a rather expensive product.

IMG_0706

Since my skin is relatively sensitive I’m always really hesitant when straying away from my usual products because many moisturizers I’ve tried would feel quite stingy on my skin when I first applied them. However, this one felt incredibly nice and gentle on my skin and I really enjoyed massaging it into my skin.

So Rodial promises that this product “plumps and firms wrinkle appearance, minimises the appearance of pores, evens out skin and improves skin elasticity” The been venom is supposed to plump up your skin and therefore achieve a younger looking complexion.

Now I’m only 20 and thankfully do not have any wrinkles yet but I have still noticed quite the difference in my skin. In the morning my skin now looks a lot more glowing and awake. It feels softer and definitely more hydrated. I’ve also noticed that now my foundation looks a lot better when applied because my skin is not as nearly dry anymore.

To conclude I’m really happy with the hydrating gel because it really does keep my skin hydrated and saves it from getting dry. I’ve noticed that my skin looks a lot more healthy and glowy in the morning and the product itself feels so luxurious and nice on my skin.

Have you tried any Rodial Skincare? What would you recommend?

Lipstick Obsession Of The Week

As I’ve mentioned again and again I’m without a doubt an obsessive lipstick hoarder! I can never have enough lipsticks and my collecting is constantly growing. Whenever I buy a new lipstick and really like it I get totally obsessed with it and wear it non-stop for a few weeks before I move on to the next lipstick. I just can’t commit to one but then again why would I even want to when there are so many amazing colors and finishes and brands out there, right?

IMG_0570

My current obsession is the NYX soft matte lip cream in Stockholm. I’ve raved about the NYX Butter Glosses many times on my blog before and I’ve been dying to try their matte lip creams but they weren’t available over here until fairly recently. Obviously as soon as I found out I could purchase them now I ordered two colors because I just HAD to try them.

I already own a few matte lip creams by other brands but somehow I didn’t have a single nude shade in my collection. (I always go for the dark reds/purples) So I knew right away that I wanted to get a nude shade and eventually ended up purchasing the color Stockholm and OH MY GOD it was love at first application.

IMG_0575

The color is absolutely stunning! It’s the perfect neutral nude, that goes with so many makeup looks from a simple every day look to a heavy smoky eye. It’s so neutral it kind of adjusts to your makeup look and is perfect for evening out a heavy eye makeup.

But what I love even more than the color is the formula. Especially consider that NYX is definitely a high street brand I find the formula seriously outstanding. The product applies so evenly on the lips and gives great coverage. It’s a dream! Since it’s a matte lip cream it applies similar to a lip gloss but dries to a matte finish. Some of those matte lip creams can feel quite drying on the lips but not this one! Honestly sometimes I even forget that I’m wearing it because it feels so light on the lips and it is not drying at all! Another thing I’m also really impressed with is its lasting power! I’ve worn this shade to work now a few times and it has lasted me all day without having to reapply even ones. It started to fade slowly but evenly after 5-6 hours but it still looked nice.

IMG_0576

I’m head over heels in love with this shade and I want to try a few others now. I also bought the shade Copenhagen, which is a really dark vampy red shade and I cannot wait to give that one a go.

Have you tried these? What were your thoughts?

Effortlessly Glowing Skin With Rodial*

If there is one makeup product I never thought I’d become so obsessed with it is highlighter. About a year and a half ago I really didn’t appreciate the wonders a good highlighter can do for my skin and thought they weren’t worth it to invest my money in but Oh God I couldn’t have been more wrong. I’ve tried Benefit and a few other drugstore highlighters but it wasn’t unit Mac Soft & Gentle, that I fell in love!

Now a year and a half later I rarely ever not wear highlighter. I’ve mentioned before that I don’t really do a lot of contouring but highlighter has become a bit of a must for me! I just absolutely love how a good highlighter can add this healthy glow to my skin. As you all know I’m very fair skinned so a combination of a good blush and highlighter can really warm up my complexion and make me look a lot less ghost like!

IMG_0249

When the lovely people over at Rodial sent me their Instaglam Compact Delxue Illuminating Powder* I was absolutely over the moon as highlighters have become a bit of an obsession of mine (though nothing beats lipstick). First off the packaging looks so so pretty and luxurious. I could just stare at it for days. Just look at it! Like seriously how pretty does this look?

IMG_0251IMG_0252

I’ve been wearing this product every single day for about a week now and let me tell you I’m in love! I’m so impressed with this highlighter. The powder is very finely milled and is so nice to apply because it blends into the skin so effortlessly. As always I have included a swatch further below but I looking at just the swatch it is very difficult to see how pretty this product really is. As you will see it looks quite skin like on my skin and by far not as glittery and sparkly as many other highlighter for example Mac’s Lightscapade. While I absolutely love an intense highlight some days, it can sometimes be a bit overboard for days when all I’m doing is attending lectures or going to the grocery store.

IMG_0258

So what I really love about this highlighter is the fact that it is so skin like. It is shimmery but still so natural looking. Hence when you apply it to the skin it gives you the most natural radiant looking glow. Almost as if your skin is glowing from within!

I’m head over heels for this highlighter and I have a feeling it is going to become a new staple within my makeup bag!
