Fruity Sunday Smoothie

I feel like I’ve talked about my smoothie blender I got for Christmas a lot on here but I just wanted it very badly and I’ve gotten so much use out of it already. So far I’ve only tried different recipes involving fruits because to be honest I haven’t been brave enough to try one of those really healthy green ones that includes veggies as well. Not that I don’t like veggies. I do. At least some I do but the idea of mixing spinach, lettuce and celery with banana and apples honestly isn’t the most appealing to me but I’ve never tried it, so I can’t judge obviously. My mom and I made a deal that next time I’m home we’re going to test out one of those detox smoothies. We’ll see how that goes and I promise to report back on that.

So for today’s post I want to share a little smoothie recipe with you guys that I came across by just randomly putting together stuff we still had in our kitchen. It’s super easy to do and very tasty! I love how fruity it is and I think this would be a great refreshment once summer rolls around. All you need is for ingredients.

 frozen raspberries

frozen blueberries

1 pomegranate

oranges

As for the amount it really depends on how much you want to make. I usually go for 2 glasses, so I’ll take a handful or raspberries and a handful of blueberries out of the freezer and put them in my blender. I usually wait until they’ve defrost a bit because otherwise the consistency of the smoothie will be way too think otherwise and it’ll much more resemble ice cream rather than a drink. Once the berries have defrosted a bit I’ll add the juice of one pomegranate and the oranges. Blend blend blend…… and you’re done. Like I said it’s very easy and it’s so fruity and refreshing.

  1. It sounds delicious! I made your breakfast smoothie which was great, so must try out this one too. Pomegranate in a smoothie sounds very interesting :p xxx

  2. I just started my blog, and you’re one of the first blogs I followed on here and I am so glad I did! I realize this is a post about a smoothie, but the way you speak to your readers through your posts is so awesome and I know for sure that I will be keeping up with your blog during the time I spend on here. Have a great day! -Kellyn

    • Thank you so much for your sweet comment, Kellyn. I’m glad you’re enjoying my blog and thank you so much for following. I’ll have a look at yours too. Hope you have a lovely day as well :)

  3. That smoothie looks amazing! I love making smoothies and despite how easy it is to just throw everything into a blender, I’m just too lazy at times haha. But I really do recommend throwing some veg into the smoothie! It’s a lot healthier and you won’t even notice it through the taste of the fruit :)
